Rubens is the son of Idely Gonçalves dos Santos and Rubens Barrichello.
Rubens’ paternal grandfather was Rubens “Rubão” Barrichello (the son of Jacob “Pio Cheu” Barrichello and Maria Marim Fernandes). Jacob was the son of Giovanni Barrichello and Maria Luigia Beltrame, who were from Treviso, Veneto, Italy, with Giovanni having been from Riese Pio X. Rubens’ great-grandmother Maria evidently was born in Málaga, Andalusia, Spain.
Rubens’ paternal grandmother was Maria Cacildo “Caselda” Cremasco (the daughter of Joao Antonio Cremasco and Irma Pimpinato). Maria was born in Rio das Pedras, São Paulo, Brazil. Joao was the son of Italian parents, Angelo Cremasco, who was from Scorzé, Venice, Veneto; and Rosaria Alessandrini. Rubens’ great-grandmother Irma was also the daughter of Italian parents, Remiglio Carlo Pippinato, who was from Correzzola, Padova, Veneto; and Pasqua Carolina Maccari, who was from San Benedetto Po, Mantova, Lombardy.
