Sarah’s maternal grandfather was Gilbert Edward “Gib” Caroff (the son of James Joseph Caroff and Letitia Mae Mackey). James was the son of Francois Marie Caroff and Marie Angele Corre, who were from Brittany, France. Letitia was the daughter of Scottish-born parents, George L.
