Satya Bhabha is a British-American actor and director. His roles include the films Scott Pilgrim vs. the World , Midnight’s Children , and Dude , and the shows New Girl , Eastriders , and Sense8 .
Satya is the son of Jacqueline Bhabha, an academic and attorney, and Homi K. Bhabha (Homi Kharshedji Bhabha), a scholar and critical theorist. His parents were born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father is from a Parsi-Zoroastrian family. His mother is the daughter of German Jewish refugee parents, who worked in academia; from the age of ten, she was raised in Milan, Italy.
Satya’s maternal grandfather was named Paul Moritz Strimpel.
Satya’s maternal grandmother was named Mathilde Rosenthal. Mathilde was Professor of English at the University of Milan.
