Sebastian Stan is a Romanian-American actor and model. He has played “Bucky” Barnes / The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly in the films Captain America: The First Avenger , Captain America: The Winter Soldier , Captain America: Civil War , Avengers: Infinity War , Avengers: Endgame , and Thunderbolts* , and on the shows The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and What If…? He was born in Constanța, Romania. When he was eight, he moved with his mother, Georgeta, a pianist, to Vienna, Austria. When he was around twelve, they moved to Rockland County, New York, after his mother married a U.S. school headmaster, Anthony Fruhauf. Sebastian became a U.S. citizen in 2002.
