Sergio Ramos is a Spanish professional footballer. A centre-back and right-back, he played for Sevilla Atlético, Sevilla, Real Madrid, which he captained; Paris Saint-Germain, and Monterrey, which he also captained; and played for and captained the Spain national team.
Sergio is the son of Paqui García and Jose María Ramos. He is a second cousin of professional footballer José Mari. He is married to reporter, television presenter, and model Pilar Rubio (Pilar Rubio Fernández), with whom he has four children.
Sergio’s maternal grandfather was named Juan García Caballero.
