Shalom Harlow is a Canadian model and actress. Her roles include the films In & Out , Head Over Heels (2001), Vanilla Sky , The Salton Sea , Happy Here and Now , How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days , I Love Your Work , Melinda and Melinda , and Game 6 ; and the series The Jury . She was a host of the show House of Style . She appeared in the Pirelli Calendar, in June 1998. She is 5′11″.

Her first name, Shalom, means “hello” and “peace” in Hebrew. However, Shalom Harlow is not Jewish.
Shalom’s paternal grandfather was Lloyd George Harlow (the son of George Alvin Harlow and Josephine Catherine Cook). Shalom’s great-grandfather George was born in Nova Scotia, the son of Gideon White Harlow and Abigail Coumans. Josephine was born in Nova Scotia, the daughter of David Cook and Lucy Olivia Forsythe.
Shalom’s paternal grandmother was Irene Elsie Crawford (the daughter of Thomas Marwood “Tom” Crawford and Emily/Emilly Alice Gale). Irene was born in Ontario. Thomas was born in Ontario, the son of John Crawford, who was Irish, and of Sarah Ann Clark. Emily was born in either Ontario or England, to parents from England, Ernest Alexander Gale and Helen Fore.
