Sid Abel was a Canadian professional ice hockey player, coach, and general manager. A centre, he played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Black Hawks of the National Hockey League (NHL), and for the Pittsburgh Hornets and the Indianapolis Capitals of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was a Hall of Famer.
Sid was the son of Jenny and Daniel Abel.
