Sid Caesar was an American comic actor, comedian, and writer.
He was the son of Ida (Raffel) and Max Ziser/Caesar. His father was a Jewish emigrant from Dabrowa, Poland. His mother was a Russian Jewish emigrant, from Odessa. His parents ran a 24-hour luncheonette. Sid was married to Florence Levy, until his death, with whom he had three children. Florence was also Jewish.
