Sonam Kapoor is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films.
She is the daughter of Sunita, a model and designer, and Anil Kapoor , an actor and producer. Her siblings are film producer Rhea Kapoor and actor Harshvardhan Kapoor. She is a niece of film producer Boney Kapoor and actor Sanjay Kapoor, a cousin of actors Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah, and a second cousin of actor Ranveer Singh.
Sonam is married to businessperson Anand Ahuja, with whom she has a son.
Sonam’s paternal grandfather was filmmaker Surinder Kapoor. Surinder was born in Qissa Khwani Bazaar, Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, British India, now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
Sonam’s paternal grandmother was named Nirmal Kapoor.
