He was previously Leader of Renew Europe, from 19 October, 2021 to 11 January, 2024, Secretary General of Renaissance, from 18 September, 2022 to 8 December, 2024, and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, from 11 January, 2024 to 21 September, 2024; as well as, a Member of the European Parliament for France, from 2 July, 2019 to 11 January, 2024, and a Member of the National Assembly for Hauts-de-Seine’s 9th constituency, from 8 July, 2024 to 30 November, 2024.
His father worked for France Télécom. His mother was a switchboard operator. He was partly raised in the Yvelines; Mexico; Madrid, Spain; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Stéphane’s paternal grandfather was Claude Séjourné (the son of Eugène Joseph René Fleury Séjourné and Marie Lucie Loudouez). Claude was born in Versailles, Yvelines. Eugène was the son of Eugène René Séjourné and Eugénie Bruneau.
