Stephen Lack is a Canadian actor, artist, and screenwriter. He starred as Cameron Vale in the film Scanners . His roles also include the films Montreal Main , The Angel and the Woman , The Rubber Gun , Head On (1980), A 20th Century Chocolate Cake , Perfect Strangers (1984), Dead Ringers (1988), All the Vermeers in New York , and Between the Temples . He also co-wrote Montreal Main and The Rubber Gun .

He is a maternal third cousin of musician, singer, songwriter, and poet Leonard Cohen , through their shared Cohen lines; they are likely also third cousins through their Garmaise ancestors. It appears that he is also a fourth cousin of actor William Shatner , also through their shared Garmaise line.

His son, Asher Lack, is the frontman of indie art rock band Ravens & Chimes.
