Steve Largent is an American professional football player, and politician. A wide receiver, he was with the Houston Oilers and the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). A Republican, he was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Oklahoma, from November 29, 1994 to February 15, 2002.
Steve is the son of Suzanne “Sue” and Jesse James Largent. He is married to Terry, with whom he has four children.
Steve’s paternal grandfather was Jesse James Largent (the son of John Norris Largent and Callie Rosetta Franks). Jesse was born in New Hope Township, Izard County, Arkansas.
