Steven Gerrard is a British professional footballer, and manager. A midfielder, he played for Liverpool, which he also captained; and LA Galaxy, and played for and captained the England national team. He managed Liverpool U18/U19, Rangers, Aston Villa, and Al-Ettifaq.
Steven is the son of Julie and Paul Gerrard. He is a cousin of professional footballers Anthony Gerrard, who qualified to play for Ireland, and Bobby Duncan. Steven is Catholic. He is married to model and fashion columnist Alex Curran, with whom he has four children.
Steven’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Byrne.
