Taylor Hawkins was an American musician. He was the drummer for rock band Foo Fighters. Other members of the band include Dave Grohl , Rami Jaffee , and Pat Smear . He was also a member of band Anyone; rock band Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, in which he drummed and sang; supergroup Sound City Players; progressive hard rock supergroup The Birds of Satan; and supergroup NHC. Grohl, Jaffee, Paul McCartney , Stevie Nicks , Krist Novoselic , Smear, Rick Springfield , Corey Taylor , and Brad Wilk were also members of Sound City Players. Chris Chaney and Dave Navarro were also members of NHC.
Taylor was the son of Elizabeth (Broome) and Oliver Hawkins. He was mostly raised in Laguna Beach, California. He had three children with his wife Alison.
Taylor’s paternal grandfather was Emery Lee Hawkins (the son of Robert Casper Hawkins and Lillie Catherine Finch). Emery was born in Mississippi. Robert was the son of Robert Gaines Hawkins and Sarah James “Sallie” Bott. Lillie was the daughter of Thadius Lodora Finch and Ann Eliza Faulkner.
Taylor’s paternal grandmother was Josie Ethel Harrell (the daughter of Oliver Richard Harrell and Nancy Ella Harrell). Josie was born in Mississippi. Oliver was the son of William Walter Harrell and Eliza Jane Smith. Nancy was the daughter of Rankin Telfair Harrell and Elizabeth Ann McPherson.
Taylor’s maternal grandfather was Homer Webb Broome (the son of Ruben Hardy Broome and Frances Virginia Foles). Homer was born in Mississippi. Ruben was the son of Thaddeus Cobb Broom and Julia Lott. Frances was the daughter of Benjamin Middleton Foles and Susan Alice Graves.
