Ted Lindsay was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. A left wing, he played for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was nicknamed “Terrible Ted.”
Ted was the son of Mary Louise Maud Villemaire and Bert Lindsay (Leslie Bertrand Lindsay), who was a professional ice hockey player.
Ted’s paternal grandfather was James B. Lindsay (the son of John Lindsay and Elizabeth Brown). James’s parents were Irish.
Ted’s paternal grandmother was Euphemia Louise Felker (the daughter of William Felker and Elizabeth Ferrier). Euphemia’s parents were Scottish.
