Teddy Sears is an American actor. He has appeared on the shows Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip , CSI: Miami , Ugly Betty , Raising the Bar , The Defenders , Torchwood: Miracle Day , American Horror Story , Blue Bloods , 666 Park Avenue , Masters of Sex , The Flash , 24: Legacy , Chicago Fire , The Politician , Impeachment: American Crime Story , Brilliant Minds , and The Night Agent , in the films Firehouse Dog , A Single Man , Curve (2015), and Nine Lives (2016), and in the made-for-tv movie The Client List .
He was raised in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Teddy is married to actress Milissa Skor.
Teddy’s paternal grandfather was Harry Edward Sears II (the son of Harry Edward Sears I and Myrtle Bell Walker). Teddy’s grandfather Harry was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, and was a U.S. Navy vice admiral, and decorated veteran of WWII. He earned the Navy Cross and two Distinguished Flying Crosses while leading a squadron of patrol bombers in the Pacific theatre. Teddy’s great-grandfather Harry was the son of Edward Shailer Sears and Isabel Waggoner. Myrtle was the daughter of Joseph Hiram Walker and Isabella Palmer Woodberry.
Teddy’s paternal grandmother was Gladys Jane Mase (the daughter of Jesse Zwingle Mase and Mary A. Longhrey). Gladys was born in Smithville, Ohio. Jesse was the son of Silas B. Mase and Ida Cordelia Hassler, who were of, at least mostly, German descent. Mary and her parents were born in Pennsylvania.
Teddy’s maternal grandfather was Charles Roeder Grant Jr. (the son of Charles Roeder Grant Sr. and Irene Dunant Craigen). Teddy’s great-grandfather Charles was the son of Thomas J. Grant and Josephine R. Roeder. Irene was the daughter of William Joseph Craigen and Rebecca Dunant Pue.
Teddy’s maternal grandmother was Tempe Haile Curry (the daughter of Robert Granville Curry and Elise Perry Haile). Tempe was born in Staunton, Virginia. Robert was the son of Charles A. Curry and Grace Elizabeth Duncan. Elise was the daughter of Columbus Newton Haile and Temperance Jackson Perry.
