The Kid Laroi, also stylized as The Kid LAROI, is an Australian singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. His songs include “Diva,” “Go,” “Tell Me Why,” “So Done,” “My City,” “Without You,” “Stay,” “Thousand Miles,” “Paris to Tokyo,” “Love Again,” “Too Much,” “Bleed,” “Girls,” “Baby I’m Back,” “A Cold Play,” and “Rather Be;” and, in a featured role, “Lost.” He has appeared in the film Y2K (2024) and in the video game Fortnite .
His mother, Sloane Howard, is a talent manager, record label founder, and music executive, and his father, Nick Howard, is a music producer, sound engineer, and pop singer. The Kid Laroi was partly raised in rural Australia, including Broken Hill.
He is Kamilaroi, or Gamilaraay, from which he uses his artist name Laroi. The Kid Laroi’s great-great grandfather was an Aboriginal or mixed Aboriginal child taken from his family and raised in a white household, part of the Stolen Generation. He was told he was Spanish because of his darker complexion.
