Thierry Henry is a French professional footballer and coach, pundit, and sports broadcaster. A forward, he played for Monaco B, Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona, and the New York Red Bulls, and the France national team. He managed Monaco, Montreal Impact, France U21, and France Olympic. He held the record for all-time top scorer of France’s national team, for fifteen years.
Thierry’s father, Antoine, is from La Désirade island, Guadeloupe. His mother, Maryse, is from Martinique. Thierry was born and raised in the Les Ulis suburb of Paris, which provided good footballing facilities, despite being seen as a tough neighbourhood. As an NBA fan, Thierry has often been seen with his friend Tony Parker at games. He stated in an interview that he admires basketball, as it is similar to football in pace and excitement.
Thierry is married to Bosnian model Andrea Rajačić. He has a daughter with his former wife, English model Nicole Merry; and three children with Andrea.
