Thomas Ian Griffith, also billed as Thomas Griffith, is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, musician, and martial artist. He is known for playing the character Terry Silver in The Karate Kid III and on Cobra Kai ; and for his roles in the films Kull the Conqueror , John Carpenter’s Vampires , and xXx , on the series Another World and One Tree Hill , and in the made-for-tv movie Rock Hudson (1990), in the title role. He is 6′4.5″.
Thomas is the son of Mary Ann and Dr. Thomas Joseph Griffith. His father hosted the weekly radio show The Irish Hour , and was an assistant professor. His mother was voted Mrs. Connecticut of 1964. She was the founder and director of Irish dancing academy, The Griffith Academy of Dance, in Wethersfield, CT. His grandparents were all Irish, with his paternal grandparents from County Mayo and his maternal grandparents from County Kerry.
Thomas was raised in Wethersfield. He is married to actress Mary Page Keller, with whom he has two children, video artist and animator Conner O’Neil Griffith and musician Eamon Michael Griffith.
