Thomas Sadoski is an American actor. His roles include the films Loser (2000), Winter Solstice , Happy Hour (2003), Company K , 30 Beats , Take Care , Wild (2014), John Wick , and its sequel, John Wick: Chapter 2 ; I Smile Back , The Last Word (2017), The Mimic (2020), Devotion (2022), and Lilly (2024); the series As the World Turns , The Newsroom , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , The Slap , Life in Pieces , Tommy , The Crowded Room , and American Sports Story ; and the audiobooks Mile 81 , reasons to be pretty , and Zero K ; as well as many works on stage.

His father is of one half Polish, one quarter Swedish, and one quarter English [with remote Welsh], ancestry. His mother is of half Italian and half German descent. He was partly raised in College Station, Texas. Thomas is married to actress and singer Amanda Seyfried , with whom he has two children.

Thomas’s paternal grandfather was Waldmyr/Waldemar John Sadoski (the son of John M. Sadoski and Aniela/Angeline Alice Karpinski). Waldmyr was born in Terryville, Litchfield, Connecticut, to Polish parents.

Thomas’s paternal grandmother was Ruth E. Gustafson (the daughter of Axel Albert Gustafson and Eunice Strong). Ruth was born in South Carolina. Ruth’s re-marriage surname was Kantorski. Axel was born in New Britain, Hartford, Connecticut, to Swedish parents, Charles A. Gustafson and Christina. Thomas’s great-grandmother Eunice was born in Connecticut, the daughter of David Strong and Alice Perkins, and was of Colonial American (English) ancestry, with deep roots in the state. Eunice was descended from the Strong family, who came to the American colonies from England shortly after the Mayflower, prior to the American Revolution. Continental Army soldier Nathan Hale was a descendent of the same line of the Strong family.

Thomas’s maternal grandfather was Remigio/Remy Pietro/Peter Bove (the son of Constantino/Costantino Bove and Annunziata “Nancy” Pagano). Remigio was born in Bristol, Hartford, Connecticut, to Italian parents, from Province of Salerno, Campania. Constantino was born in Tramonti, the son of Minervini Maria Tramonti. Annunziata was born in Nocera Superiore.

Thomas’s maternal grandmother was Dorothy Mae/May Heller (the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt Heller and Minnie Alverna Troell). Dorothy was born in Freeland, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, and was of Pennsylvania Dutch (German) descent. Theodore was born in Upper Lehigh, Luzerne, the son of John Franklin Heller and Hannah Jane Hoffman, whose father was German. Thomas’s great-grandmother Minnie was born in Freeland, the daughter of Alexander D. “Alex” Troell and Minnie S. Kishbaugh.
