Thuso Mbedu is a South African actress. She has featured in the films The Woman King , and, in voice performance, Mufasa: The Lion King ; and on the series Isibaya , Saints and Sinners , Snake Park , Scandal! , Is’Thunzi , Shuga , Liberty , Generations: The Legacy , Side Dish , The Underground Railroad , Castlevania: Nocturne , in voice role; and Task .

Her father is of Xhosa and Sotho (ethnic group in Lesotho) descent, and her mother is Zulu. After her parents’ death, she was raised in the Pelham area by her Zulu grandmother.
