Tom DeLonge is an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, record producer, actor, and filmmaker. He is the lead singer and guitarist of rock band Angels & Airwaves, and was previously the guitarist and co-lead vocalist of pop punk band Blink-182. Blink-182’s members also include/have included Travis Barker , Mark Hoppus , and Matt Skiba .

Tom is the son of Constance and Thomas DeLonge, an oil company executive. He is married to entrepreneur Jennifer DeLonge, with whom he has two children.

Tom’s paternal grandfather was Robert Earl DeLong/DeLonge (the son of Walter Gus DeLong and Rosa Alavester Shoemaker). Robert was born in Pennsylvania, and was of mostly German descent. He was killed in the 1956 Grand Canyon mid-air collision, on TWA Flight 2. Walter was the son of Elias Francis DeLong and Catharine Magdalena Elizabeth Knerr. Tom’s great-grandmother Rosa was the daughter of William Henrich “Henry” Shoemaker and Marianne Elizabeth “Mary” Fetzer.

Tom’s paternal grandmother was Theda Frances Lyon (the daughter of James Harrison/Harry Lyon and Nora Belle Conkle). Theda was born in Nebraska. James was the son of Asa Lyon/Lyons and Elizabeth Mails. Nora was the daughter of Willard Conkle and Laura J. Ackerman.

Tom’s maternal grandfather was Richard Joseph Lovell (the son of Joseph Snively Lovell and Hazel Catherine Benchoff). Richard Joseph was born in Pennsylvania. Joseph was the son of Joseph E. Lovell and Sarah/Sadie Catherine Spangler. Hazel was the daughter of Samuel Harrison Benchoff and Clara/Cora Idella Baker.

Tom’s maternal grandmother was Manuela B. “Nellie” Atayde (the daughter of Rodolfo/Rudolpho/Rudolph Atayde and Concepcion/Conception Porras). Manuela was born in California, to Mexican parents. Rodolfo was the son of José Pascual Atayde Quiñones, who was from Yerbabuena, Rodeo, Durango; and of Apolonia Silerio Lugo, who was from Cuenas. Tom’s great-grandmother Concepcion was the daughter of Ramon Porras and Augustina Rey.
