Tom DiCillo is an American film director, cinematographer, and screenwriter. He has directed the films Johnny Suede , Living in Oblivion , Box of Moonlight , The Real Blonde , Double Whammy , and Delirious (2006), and the documentaries When You’re Strange and Down in Shadowland . He also wrote all of his films.

He is the son of Barbara and Frank DiCillo, a U.S. Marine Corps Colonel. His father was born in Massachusetts, to Italian parents. Tom was married to Jane Gill, until her death.

Tom’s paternal grandfather was named Frank DiCillo. Frank was from Orta Nova, Province of Foggia, Apulia, Italy.
