He was raised in Northumberland. His brother is barrister Max Hill, who was Director of Public Prosecutions, from 1 November, 2018 to 31 October, 2023. Tom is married to actress Jessica Raine (born Jessica Helen Lloyd). He has two children with his former wife Kerry Bradley; and one child with Jessica.
