Tony Dorsett is an American professional football player. A running back, he played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
Tony is the son of Myrtle Grace and Wesley Dorsett. He is married to Janet, and has four children, including professional football player Anthony Dorsett. His nephew is professional football player Ty Law .
Tony’s paternal grandfather was Richard Dorsett (the son of James Dorsett and Bertha Crutchfield). James was born in North Carolina, the son of Benjamin Dorsett and Ann Miranda Rogers. Bertha was the daughter of Richard Crutchfield and Sarah McLean.
