Tovah is the daughter of Lillian and Sidney Feldshuh/Feldschuh, a lawyer. Her brother is playwright David Feldshuh, who wrote Miss Evers’ Boys . She was raised in Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York. Her nephew, musician Noah Feldshuh, was in the pop rock band X Ambassadors. Tovah is married to attorney Andrew Harris Levy, with whom she has two children.
Tovah’s paternal grandfather was David B. Feldschuh/Feldshuh (the son of Szmil/Samuel/Shmuel/Schmiel Feldschuh/Feldschuh and Pearl Kassirer/Kasierer). David was born in Austria, and had roots in Galicia and Ukraine. Szmil was the son of Rachmiel Kimmelmen/Feldschuh and Freide Beile Feldschuh. Pearl was the daughter of Chaskel Kassirer.
Tovah’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Kaplan.
