Valentino Garavani, better known as Valentino, was an Italian fashion designer. He founded the Valentino fashion house in 1960, with the backing of his father and his then-partner Giancarlo Giammetti. His lines included Valentino, Valentino Garavani, Valentino Roma, and R.E.D. Valentino. He appeared in a cameo role in the film The Devil Wears Prada . In 2008, he starred in a documentary film about his life, The Last Emperor .
Valentino was the son of Teresa de Biaggi and Mauro Garavani.
