Wes Ball is an American film director, visual effects artist, and graphic artist. He has directed the films The Maze Runner , Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials , Maze Runner: The Death Cure , and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes . He was a pre-vizualation artist on Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D and a visual effects artist on Beginners (2011).
Wes is the son of Audrey and Thomas Ball. He was raised in Lake Como, Florida.
Wes’ paternal grandfather was Thomas Peter Ball (the son of Peter F. Ball and Mary Teresa Gahagan). Thomas was born in Massachusetts, to Irish parents. Peter was the son of Austin Ball and Bridget Donnelly. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Gahagan and Ann Grady.
Wes’ paternal grandmother was Jeannine Marilyn Martin (the daughter of Henry Clarence Martin and Doris M. Picard/Piccard). Jeannine was born in Massachusetts.
