Wyatt Russell is an American actor, and professional ice hockey player. His roles include the films Soldier (1998), Cowboys & Aliens , We Are What We Are , Love and Honor , 22 Jump Street , Cold in July , At the Devil’s Door , Everybody Wants Some!! , Folk Hero & Funny Guy , Ingrid Goes West , Table 19 , Goon: Last of the Enforcers , Shimmer Lake , Blaze , Overlord (2018), The Woman in the Window , Night Swim , Thunderbolts* , and Broke (2025), and the series The Walking Dead: The Oath , Black Mirror: Playtest , Lodge 49 , The Good Lord Bird , The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Under the Banner of Heaven , and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters . A goaltender, he played for EHC Timmendorfer Strand and Groningen Grizzlies of the Eredivisie.
He is the son of actor Kurt Russell and actress, director, singer, and producer Goldie Hawn , and the half-sibling of actors Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson . Wyatt was partly raised in Snowmass, Colorado and Pacific Palisades, California.
Wyatt’s maternal grandmother was the daughter of Hungarian Jewish/Austrian Jewish parents. His ancestry is also English, German, Scottish, Irish, and smaller amounts of Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, Swiss-German, Welsh, Cornish, and Belgian Flemish. Goldie Hawn raised her children with Jewish and Buddhist traditions.
Wyatt is married to actress Meredith Hagner , with whom he has two children.
Wyatt’s paternal grandfather was Bing Russell (an actor, born Neil Oliver Russell, the son of Warren Oliver Russell and Ruth Stewart Vogel). Bing was born in Vermont, to parents from Massachusetts. Warren was born in Petersham, Worcester County, and was of Colonial American descent. He was the son of Eddie/Edwin Oliver Russell and Edith Ellen Hathaway. Wyatt’s great-grandmother Ruth was born in Westfield, Hampden County, the daughter of Frederick A. Vogel, Jr., who was born in Pennsylvania, to German parents; and of Agnes A. Stuart/Stewart.

Wyatt’s maternal grandmother was Laura Steinhoff (the daughter of Max/Michael/Mahal Steinhoff and Fannie Weiss). Laura was born in Uniontown, Fayette, Pennsylvania, to Hungarian Jewish/Austrian Jewish parents. Fannie was the daughter of Menachem Mendel/Max Weiss and Esther Schwartz; Esther was the daughter of Ignatz Schwartz and Goldie.
