Xander Bogaerts is an Aruban professional baseball player. A shortstop and second baseman, he plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was previously with the Boston Red Sox. He is nicknamed “The X-Man” and “Bogey”/Bogie.
Xander is the son of Sandra Brown and Jan Bogaerts. His brother, Jair Bogaerts, has also played professional baseball. He speaks English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento, the latter two being Aruba’s official languages. Pictures of Xander with his family can be seen here .
